    Drive-by shooting in Oakridge neighborhood, DMPD responding

    DES MOINES, Iowa –The Des Moines Police Department responded to the Oakridge neighborhood on reports of a shooting.

    According to a DMPD post on X , around 9:35 p.m. DMPD and DMFD responded to 926 Oakridge Drive on reports of a drive-by shooting.

    Two people have been injured, neither are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

    No suspect information is available. Evidence indicates suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

    Expect increased police presence as the investigation progresses.
