Man arrested in connection to Carlisle bank robbery

CARLISLE, Iowa — Police have arrested a man in connection to Friday’s bank robbery in Carlisle .

On Friday, a man entered the First Interstate Bank in Carlisle and handed the teller a note demanding money. The note said that he had a gun, which he displayed in his waistband. The man left the bank and headed for an unknown location. Police released a security camera image of the man asking for help identifying him.

Friday afternoon the Carlisle Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin Jeffrey Seay. On Saturday, police determined that Seay had fled to Lakeville, Minnesota. They contacted the Minnesota Police Department who were able to locate and take Seay into custody.

Seay is charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony.
