INDIANOLA, Iowa — Simpson College is partnering with Des Moines Community School District and Indianola Community School District to provide free tuition to students who graduate with a 3.5 GPA or higher starting in the Fall of 2025.

The college has increased the number of scholarships it has available to Iowans for the past few years as a part of its All-in for Iowa campaign

Jay Byers, Simpson’s president, said that the college wants to double down on attracting in-state students.

“We’ve definitely been very aggressive with our different strategies to make sure that we can be as accessible and affordable to as many Iowans as possible. And we think we’re definitely on the leading edge of that,” Byers said.

The amount of in-state students enrolling at Simpson College has increased by over 40%.
