FFP Coaches Corner: Johnston vs Waukee

DES MOINES, IOWA — The midway point of the Football Friday Primetime schedule on WHO 13. The third of our five game nights of live Friday night football will feature the Johnston Dragons taking on the Waukee Warriors.

The 2-2 Dragons are ranked 9th in Class 5A and are coming off a win against Ankeny last week. Waukee is 3-1 and ranked 4th in Class 5A after falling to West Des Moines Valley last week.

WHO 13’s Keith Murphy and Justin Surrency will be on the call for the game on Friday night starting at 6:55pm. Before kickoff, though, they welcomed Waukee Head Coach Gabe Bakker and senior safety Carter Johnson and Johnston Head Coach Brian Woodley and senior quarterback Will Nuss into the Coaches Corner.
