    That “technology” was used in the 60’s by every elementary teacher I had. The bigger question, why and who decided to stop using it and when was that decision made. I’m betting that decision was made when the federal government stood up the Department of Education in the late 70’s. The DOE’s purpose was to dumb down Americans and they succeeded in this endeavor. Todays children are rarely at grade level in anything.
