STATEWIDE- -You can expect the next few days to have some heavy rainfall at times across Indiana. There are couple of rounds of rain and storms that are expected to move through the state on Thursday.

“Then after that, it looks like we’ll have some additional storms heading into the weekend. But there is a little more uncertainty in terms of coverage, but we could have a few storms around,” said Greg Melo, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Melo believes the rain could be the strongest Thursday night into Friday morning. Some places could get at least two inches of rain, especially in central Indiana.

He doesn’t think there’s a strong chance for severe weather, but he urges you to stay vigilant.

“We just have to get through a few days of storms, but it looks much better heading into next week. As we get into Monday morning, we should start to dry out. Then it looks pretty dry to start the first half of the week,” said Melo.

You can hear the full interview with Melo below.
