JARRATT, Va. – By now, you may have heard about the listeria outbreak believed to be connected to Boar’s Head deli meats.  Well, it has been learned that dead bugs and mold were found at the plant in Virginia.

Between August of last year and August of this year, federal meat inspectors documented black mold at the Boar’s Head plant in Jarratt, flies in pickle vats, leaky water pipes, and a rancid odor. They issued dozens of citations.

Nine people, all over the age of 70, have died since May after eating deli meat produced there. The deaths were in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Virginia, New Mexico, Tennessee, Illinois and South Carolina.

The CDC also says 57 people, ages 32 to 95, have been hospitalized.

This is happening simply because people have gotten too lazy. And feel it's beneath them to clean. Soap & water works miracles.

This falls on management! Management has to be aware of what is going on. Just like if someone comes to you saying that something is broken are not right, it's the management / owners job to fix it.
