    Texoma Gives nonprofit registration now open Kylie Bailey Tue, 06/25/2024 - 9:44 pm Alt Text for Image In September, the ninth annual Texoma Gives online fundraising event will take place with participation from organizations in north Texas and southwest Oklahoma. Nonprofits have until midnight Wednesday, July 31 to register to be a part of the online event to grow philanthropic efforts in the Texoma area. As of Monday afternoon, no organizations in Jack County have registered for the upcoming fundraiser. Texoma Gives is a 16hour, online giving event organized by the Wichita Falls Area Community which covers a 24-county area in Texas and Oklahoma. “The purpose of an area- wide day like Texoma Gives is to bring the region together on one day to raise money and awareness for Texoma nonprofits,” the organization’s website states. Nonpro_t pro_les will include the name of the organization, description of the nonpro_t, organization’s brand or logo, link to the nonpro_t website and social media links. The event kicks off its online fundraising efforts at 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at texomagives.org. An early donation period will begin Thursday, Aug. 22. Participating organizations must be classi_ed as a 501(c)(3) nonpro_t and located in the region covered by the organization, with 18 counties in Texas and six in Oklahoma. Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation will verify all participating organizations are 501(c) (3) public charities and are in compliance with IRS reporting requirements. Organizations eligible to enter in Texas are from Archer, Baylor, Clay, Childress, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Haskell, Jack, King, Knox, Montague, Stonewall, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise and Young counties. Eligible organizations must provide substantial services to the Texoma and immediate surrounding areas. Churches are not eligible to participate in the pro - gram, but private schools, school foundations and tax-deductible scholarship funds can participate. Funds raised during Texoma Gives are to be used for service in the Texoma region. A registration fee is obtained by nonpro_t budget size with the lowest being a $25 fee for budgets up to $25,000 and a $100 fee for budgets $500,001 and above.
