WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Just over two weeks after the Wichita Falls location of Hooters abruptly closed its doors, a warrant for delinquent taxes owed was posted on the business.

Just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, deputies with the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office served the tax warrant and posted it on the front doors of the empty restaurant.

According to the warrant, the owner, Texas Wings Holdings, LLC, owes over $5,700 to Wichita County, the City of Wichita Falls, and the Wichita Falls Independent School District for the 2024 tax year:

• $1,322.14 — Wichita County
• $2,784.59 — Wichita Falls Independent School District
• $1,657.49 — City of Wichita Falls

The notice also said taxing units are entitled to recover attorney fees for the collection of the estimated 2024 taxes, an additional $1,152.84.

The notice stated that the three taxing entities applied for the warrant to authorize the seizure and sale of the taxpayer’s property if necessary to satisfy the taxes owed.

The Wichita Falls location of Hooters was part of 40 closures nationwide as representatives said they decided to close a select number of underperforming stores .
