WICHITA COUNTY ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A man is in the custody of the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office after deputies surrounded a local heating and air conditioning business owned by a man wanted by police in Wichita Falls.
Deputies with the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a high-priority welfare check in the 1700 block of F.M. 367 just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Hennan Heating and Air Conditioning.
The owner of the business, John Hennan, is currently at large on an arrest warrant for the charge of theft of over $2,500 but under $30,000 by false pretenses, swindling, or a confidence game, according to Wichita Falls Police Department Sergeant Charlie Eipper.
Hennan has been arrested multiple times for willingly and knowingly taking victims’ money after promising heating and air conditioning services and never doing the job that was agreed upon.
On Wednesday morning, July 10, Eipper released information on the cases against Hennan and asked for the public’s help in locating him.
WCSO deputies surrounded the location of Hennan’s business on F.M. 367 just outside of Iowa Park city limits in Wichita County, and a man who was inside was taken out to receive medical treatment.
It is unconfirmed at this time if the subject in custody is Hennan.
