A Wichita Falls woman died in a one-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Clay County, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety media release.

Cynthia Pullin Figueroa, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.

The crash occurred at 4:50 p.m. Sunday on FM 2393 about 3.5 miles north of Dean.

The DPS preliminary investigation revealed Figueroa driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado north on FM 2353. The driver failed to drive in a single lane, and the truck's right tire went off the road.

The driver overcorrected to the left and crossed into the oncoming travel lane and barrow ditch, according to the DPS investigation. The truck traveled over a culvert, and the driver overcorrected to the right, causing the vehicle to go into a side skid.

The truck rolled on its left side and came to rest on its top, according to the DPS. Figueroa was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation.
