WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The “cold” front continues to push further to the southeast, as afternoon highs will fall back down into the mid to low 90s for most of the region. Expected the northerly winds and increase cloud coverage for the afternoon to help keep those temperatures in check. Scattered showers will continue with another round expected for the afternoon hours, those better rain chances will move to the southeastern parts of Texoma along 287 and in towards the DFW area.

Thursday, rain chances and northerly winds continue with afternoon highs staying 90s and slightly below average. Conditions will dry out slightly for your Friday plans but a mix and cloud coverage and northerly winds will prevent any significant heat up.

This weekend and into the start of next week, rain chances return to the region as additional showers and thunderstorms will move into the region from the north helping to keep those temperatures cooler to start of next week as some spots could see afternoon highs only reach up into the upper 80s and lower 90s.
