WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The Summer Olympic Games are coming up quickly and local Olympian Taliyah Brooks and her team are asking for help.

Brooks will represent the USA and her hometown of Wichita Falls in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

While Team USA covers all of Brooks’ expenses, they do not cover those for her coaching staff. The Fear the Fro team is seeking sponsorship from the community to cover crucial expenses that Brooks must cover.

If Brooks wants her coaches to attend, she must cover all expenses, such as the coaches’ travel fees, flights, room accommodations, meet passes, equipment shipping, and any other unexpected costs for the two to three weeks they will be in Paris.

Brooks is participating in multiple events, meaning she has multiple coaches to cover expenses for.

The team hopes to raise roughly $15,000 in the next two weeks to cover those expenses and anything the athlete and her team need.
