WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A new music festival rocked downtown Wichita Falls. Bands are rocking 8th and Austin for the first-ever Fallstown Summer Jam.

Smith’s Gardentown recognized as top 100 in North America

Attractions are there for the whole family, like cornhole, a petting zoo and multiple bounce houses. Vendors were set up under the farmer’s market canopy, and several food trucks surrounded the stage.

The Summer Jam started with country artists “The Whiskey Runners,” and as the night went on, the show transitioned to rock and roll groups Clint Vines & The Hardtimes and the Brass Skulls.

The show finished off with various hip-hop artists, including MaddMike. This is the first year for the event and Ezra Bynum with Dynasty Music Group hopes the festival can grow into a staple.

“This is our first one. So, we’re getting our legs under us. But moving forward we just want to continue to grow every year, get bigger and bigger because all those major music festivals, like you mentioned, they started small just like us,” Bynum said. “Just got to keep putting the foot forward, keep growing it, keep showing the people a good time.”

The Summer Jam is scheduled until 11:00 p.m., so there is still plenty of time to see the local artists performing at the festival. Tickets are $15 at the door.
