It’s not a typical July for Texoma

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL)—A break from the norm continues for Texoma as both high and low temperatures will be below average for the coming week. Tonight’s low for Wichita Falls will be 69 degrees with a high tomorrow of 86 degrees. Slight chances for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will also persist off and on for the next few days as a weak front pushes southward across the area, tapping into moisture from a low-level jet stream. Severe storms are not expected tonight though some storms may still produce hail, strong gusty winds, as well as heavy rainfall.

As the front continues to push southward across the area, high temperatures remain well below average for Monday and Tuesday with a slight rebound, still below average, heading toward the middle of the week. Humidity levels are also likely to rebound during the week adding a few degrees to the heat index.
