WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A Wichita Falls man with a court date for a previous charge of assaulting his girlfriend just a week away is arrested on a new charge of assault.

Jeffery Price, 54,  was arrested Monday, July 22, for assault of a family member.

Around 8:30 Monday evening, police were dispatched to the 5300 block of Reilly Road in response to an assault.

Officers say Price was leaving the scene in a pickup and the alleged victim was standing in the driveway.  When they questioned him, they said Price told them to talk to the woman.

The alleged victim stated she was punched four to five times in the face by her husband, Price, and also said he had hurt her arm. The responding officer observed the areas with markings consistent with the victim’s statement.

Price was arrested for assault/family violence and booked in the Wichita County jail on a $2,500 bond.

He was previously arrested in January of 2023 after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend of 12 years while intoxicated.  It is unclear if the victims are the same person.

He has a court date on July 30 on that charge for an update on plea offer negotiations.
