Deadly wreck in W. Wichita involving a speeding vehicle

One man has died after a crash in W. Wichita.

The wreck happened at about 2:00 a.m. Monday at Central & McLean Blvd.

According to the Wichita Police Department, a vehicle left the roadway at a high rate of speed and hit a tree. The driver, believed to be in his 20s and the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

The investigation continues, police ask anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at (316) 267-2111.
