After a 19-year separation Boeing is re-acquiring Spirit AeroSystems, Wichita's biggest employer. What will happen now? Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News it's time to "lean into the assets" as the community looks to the future. Baty says the Spirit facility is one of the largest manufacturing campuses in the country. Baty says the talented workforce is also attractive to Boeing.

Baty says Wichita is not the same place it was when Boeing spun off Spirit. He says this is a good time for former residents to return home, with the cost-of-living and opportunities here.

Baty commented during his weekly appearance on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
