Local church gives away nearly $10K of diapers, wipes

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Redeemed Christian Church of God held a drive-thru giveaway of diapers and baby wipes on Saturday.

There was up to $10,000 worth of diapers and wipes, and all were donated by their church and community members. The event was open to the public.

The senior pastor said this is a way to help families in need who can’t afford diapers and wipes.

“Women who are pregnant, you understand, don’t have any diapers, but they don’t have money to get that person wipes,” Samuel Kayove, the senior pastor, said. “Women who are pregnant want to have diapers for their newborn, and that’s why we’re doing this, and bless God for that.”

The church said they plan to host another charity event this fall.
