This weekend will be more temperate and will give people opportunities to get outside and comfortably enjoy one of the many outdoor activities being put on in and around Wichita. Among them: An organized urban stroll and the next installment of the free KEYN Summer Concert Series.

Want to stay indoors? Dudegrass — a bowling party that doubles as a tribute to the 1998 film “The Big Lebowski” — is back, and the flea market is celebrating Christmas in July.

Here’s a look at some of the fun activities happening this weekend:

    Summer concert series continues

8 p.m. Friday, Capitol Federal Amphitheater, 1607 E. Central, Andover,

The free KEYN Summer Concert Series continues this weekend with a show by local rock group The Banned at Andover’s Capitol Federal Amphitheater. The show starts at 8 p.m., and the gates open at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can buy food and drinks at the venue’s cashless concessions. This year’s concert series started in mid-June and will wrap up on Aug. 16. Shows occasionally also happen at downtown Wichita’s Naftzger Park. Urban stroll

8:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Riverside and downtown Wichita

Exercise and socialize at the same time at the Fourth Annual Wichita Downtown/River/Community/Stroll/Walk/Hike, which happens from 8:30 until 11 a.m. on Saturday. The event, organized by a group called Women Hiking KS and Beyond, is billed as an “urban stroll.” Participants should park at the Kansas Wildlife Exhibit at 700 Nims. A group picture will happen at 8:30 a.m., and then the walk will proceed along the river and into downtown Wichita. Leashed dogs are welcome. The group is suggesting a $2 donation per hiker.

    Dudegrass at Seneca Bowl

    6-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Seneca Bowl, 1909 S. Seneca

Dudegrass is back this year but at a new location. The event, put on by the Tallgrass Film Association, is an ode to the 1998 movie “The Big Lebowski.” Fans will gather, many in costume, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at Seneca Bowl to bowl and see the movie. A $25 general admission ticket includes unlimited bowling, a screening of the movie, a photo booth and more. VIP tickets, which are $180, include 5:30 p.m. admission plus free White Russians and pizza. General admission tickets are available at dudegrass23.swell.gives or at the door. VIP ticket sales end Friday at noon.

    Three historic birthdays

    1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum, 204 S. Main

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum will celebrate its own 85th anniversary this weekend — as well as 154th birthdays for not only Wichita but also for Sedgwick County — at a mega birthday party that will last from 1 to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Anyone who brings a birthday card will get in free, and the event will include an ice cream social. Those who attend will also hear music — the fifth-floor Bloomfield Carillon will be played from 1 to 2 p.m., and Trevor Stewart will play from 3 to 4 p.m. in Heritage Square, just outside the museum.

Christmas in July at the Flea Market

    9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Century II Exhibition Hall, 225 W. Douglas

It’s Christmas in July at the Wichita Flea Market, which will happen this weekend at Century II’s Exhibition Hall. The market, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, will feature more than 230 booths set up on two levels. Vendors will be selling antiques, crafts, vintage items, comics, artwork, jewelry, toys and more. Santa will make an appearance both days, and the event will also include a scavenger hunt with a cash prize. Admission tickets are $4 for a one-day pass, $5 for a two-day pass and free for ages 12 and under. They’re available at selectaseat.com or at the Century II box office.

    Queen tribute act

    7:30 p.m. Tuesday, The Cotillion, 11125 W. Kellogg

Fans of Queen will never see the full band together again. But they can see a pretty accurate recreation of the iconic group this week at The Cotillion. Killer Queen, a Queen tribute act, will perform at the venue at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Killer Queen formed in 1993 in England and performs all of Queen’s biggest hits. Tickets to the all-ages show are $29-$79 at www.thecotillion.com
