WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Several flights were delayed or canceled early Friday at Wichita’s Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport due to a major outage affecting computers running Microsoft.

Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said the problem occurred when it deployed a faulty update to computers running Windows.

The outage disrupted flights, banks, media outlets and companies across the world. Airlines and airports in the United States and across the world were reporting problems, with some flights grounded. The problems impacted United, American, Delta and Allegiant in the states.
