WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Approximately 4,100 voters are receiving mail notices that they will vote at a different polling place on Aug. 6.

Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Laura Rainwater said the assigned polling location for the primary election has changed for residents in precincts 105, 130 and 339. Those precincts are near the I-135 and Kellogg interchange.

The voters in those precincts were initially assigned to vote at Heart of Christ Church, 856 S. Green. Now, they need to vote at Linwood Recreation Center, 1901 S. Kansas St. The change only affects the August primary election.

The election office said in a news release that the change has something to do with the church’s heating and air conditioning system.

“It is anticipated the HVAC system at Heart of Christ should be fixed in time for voters to cast ballots at this location for the Nov. 6 General Election,” the election office said.

Voters in precincts 105, 130 and 339 are receiving a letter from the Sedgwick County Election Office. The new polling site will be in bold lettering.

If you are unsure where to vote on Aug. 6, visit VoterView , a service of the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office. VoterView can tell you your precinct, polling location and hours and show you a sample ballot.
