    Juvenile injured when illegal minibike hits truck, WPD says

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A juvenile was critically injured following a crash between a small motorbike and a truck in southwest Wichita Wednesday night.

    Police were called at 9:51 p.m. to the crash at West 50th Street South and Seneca Street.

    The Wichita Police Department says two juveniles were riding homemade minibikes that were illegal to be on the street. Police say the two were traveling at a high rate of speed and did not have lights on their minibikes.

    One of the juveniles passed a truck that was pulling out. The WPD says the truck driver did not see the second juvenile. The juvenile crashed into the truck and remains hospitalized.
