Wichita Public Schools enrollment on Monday and Tuesday

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita Public Schools will hold in-person enrollment on Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, from 12 to 7 p.m.

USD 259 says parents with students at multiple schools can complete in-person enrollment for all of them at one school. The district says that all kindergarten families need to enroll in person.

Parents who have enrolled online and paid enrollment fees do not need to attend in-person enrollment unless they need to pay other fees, sign up for elementary latchkey, or get middle and high-school student ID badges (IDs also available the first days of school).

Proof of address

Parents need to provide documents verifying their home address. These could include a rental receipt, lease agreement, gas/electric bill, or mortgage payment stub.

Application for Free and Reduced-Price meals:

All families are encouraged to complete and submit the application for free and reduced-price school meals form, as well as free or reduced prices on textbook rentals, athletic fees, instrument rentals and student fees. Free student immunizations:

Wichita Public Schools is partnering with the Sedgwick County Health Department to host free vaccine clinics where families can get school-required vaccinations on Aug. 17 and Aug. 24 at the Alvin Morris Administrative Center, 903 S. Edgemoor. Click here for more information.

First day:

The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 14. New this year: All middle and high school students who are new to their building will have a half-day orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
