Early voting at satellite locations for this year’s primary opens Tuesday in Sedgwick County.

Voters will see multiple state and county offices on this year’s primary ballot. In the Wichita area, some Kansas Legislature seats are up for a vote , as is a Sedgwick County District Court seat and the Sedgwick County Commission .

Ballots depend on party affiliation. If you’re unaffiliated, you can select what party to vote for in the primary. But voters registered with third parties will not be able to participate in this year’s primary.

Tuesday, July 30, is also the deadline to apply for an advanced mail-in ballot. You can apply for an advanced ballot by filling out an application you can find on the Kansas Secretary of State’s website and sending it to the county election office.

The county has 19 satellite voting locations that are open to voters starting Tuesday. Additionally, voters from across the county can also cast their vote early at the Sedgwick County Election Office in the Historic Courthouse, 510 N. Main.

For those waiting to vote on Election Day, you can find your assigned polling place through the Secretary of State’s VoterView website. Note that at least one Wichita polling place has changed this year . By entering your full name and date of birth on the Kansas site, you can find your party affiliation, a sample ballot and more.

When casting your vote, whether that’s at an early voting site or on Election Day at your polling place, you’ll need your photo ID .
