CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Firefighters now have a new vehicle fire simulator that is safer for firefighters and the environment. “Vehicle fires are intense and dirty,” said Chief of Training Tom Schloemer. “The plastic or synthetic interior and fuel create hot, toxic smoke which is harmful to both firefighters and the environment. This new training prop allows us to prepare for and practice fighting vehicle fires with less risk for firefighters and less air pollution.”
