Footage Shows The Shark That Attacked 4 People On 4th Of July
As we previously covered, a shark turned a 4th of July celebration into a scene from a horror movie. New footage shows the shark in question on that fateful day. Footage from a helicopter captured the fish swimming near the Texas shore. The aerial footage shows a massive-sized shark, but it doesn't reveal the species of the creature. The shark ended up attacking four people and biting three of them on a South Texas beach. People had gathered at South Padre Island when the shark attacked.
Angler Hooks A Monster Atlantic Sturgeon In Hudson River
A massive 220-pound Atlantic Sturgeon was pulled out of the Hudson River late last month. According to the NY Post, a team from the Hudson River Estuary Program snagged the fish near Hyde Park. The team caught the 6-foot fish with a net, and released it after a quick scan for tags. The 200-plus pound monster swam off unharmed, just 85 miles from New York City.
New York Governor Signs Bills Protecting Sharks, Bears and Birds
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul extended protections for a variety of fish and wildlife when she signed seven bills into law this week. In Wednesday's announcement, Hochul said she signed the legislation because she wanted to protect "the wildlife that makes our state so special." She added: "Our animal populations are at the center of industry and culture for much of our state and serve an intrinsic purpose for all of us - we must take every measure necessary to protect them."

A Texas 4th of July celebration turned into a scene from a horror scene. An aggressive and hungry shark attacked four swimmers on a Texas island in a chaotic and grisly scene.
