Drunk driving crash that killed Waukesha man; Oshkosh man sentenced
FOND DU LAC, Wis. - A Fond du Lac County judge sentenced Brian Sippel of Oshkosh on Wednesday, July 31 to 28 years in prison plus an additional 15 years of extended supervision in connection with a drunk driving crash that killed a Waukesha man and seriously injured a woman in January 2023.

Shawano’s Brett Swedberg was crowned King of the WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour King of Fair at the Langlade County Fair in Antigo on July 26. Fellow Shawano driver Lukas Postl and Swedberg led the field to the green flag, with Postl taking the lead as Troy Springborn challenged Swedberg for second. Postl continued to lead as Swedberg secured second and Taylor Scheffler battled with Springborn for third. Swedberg took the lead on lap five as he raced to the inside of Postl as Scheffler followed through to second with Postl shuffled back to third.
Wild Rose man wins $4.3 million in MegaBucks jackpot
WILD ROSE, Wis. (WSAW) - Playing the Megabucks lottery for more than 30 years has paid off in a big way for a Wild Rose man. Richard Kiesner won $4.3 million in the July 17 drawing. It is the largest Wisconsin Lottery prize won in 2024 so far. Kiesner purchased his Megabucks ticket from Kwik Trip on 549 W. Bannerman Ave. in Redgranite. His winning numbers were 6-8-14-26-33-37.
