Remains identified of Wisconsin soldier killed in Korean War
(WLUK) -- The remains of a Wisconsin soldier who was reported missing in action nearly 75 years ago during the Korean War have been identified. U.S. Army Cpl. Robert P. Raess, 21, of Dodgeville, was accounted for March 26, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Tuesday. Scientists used anthropological analysis, mitochondrial DNA analysis and circumstantial evidence to identify Raess's remains.

Mother of missing boy Elijah Vue asks judge to lower bond
MANITOWOC (WLUK) -- Katrina Baur, the mother of missing boy Elijah Vue, asked a court Wednesday to reduce her bail by one-third. Vue, 3, was reported missing Feb. 20 by his caregiver, Jesse Vang. Prosecutors say Baur sent her son to live with Vang -- her boyfriend -- at his Two Rivers apartment for "disciplinary reasons." Despite extensive searches, the boy has not been found. Baur and Vang face child neglect charges related to the condition of the home and treatment of the boy.
UW-Green Bay’s ‘greenest’ residence hall hopes to finish before move-in day
A new residence hall for college sophomores is on track for completion before the fall semester starts at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Immel Construction is the general contractor of the four-story, nearly 100,000-square-foot shared bedroom apartment complex at 3390 Walter Way on the east side of campus. The project is a joint venture between the university and University Village Housing Inc., a nonprofit specializing in student housing development. The $38 million building will be named Cort Condon Hall, named after Gerald “Cort” Condon Jr., chairman of the UVHI board.
