REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Dennis Diehl is a man who, 20 years ago, made it his mission to uplift those with Down syndrome. He and his wife, Sharon Lee Diehl, founded the Boardwalk Buddy walk, an annual walk that helps raise awareness on Down syndrome, and pays homage to his brother-in-law David, who passed away in 2016.

19-year-old drowns while swimming in N.J. lake
A 19-year-old man drowned Saturday in Lake Garrison in Gloucester County, according to the Elk Township police chief. The Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the man accidentally drowned, according to Elk Township Police Chief Lance Hitzelberger. The man was taken from the lake to Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill, where he was pronounced dead, the chief said in a news release.
Mercer County Parks Hosts “Trenton Talks Basketball Tournament”, Drawing Over 250 Residents
Mercer County Park hosted the first Trenton Talks Basketball Tournament, with a portion of all proceeds going to benefit Trenton’s A Better Way foundation. The tournament brought out over 250 residents from Trenton and surrounding communities. 12 basketball teams competed for top honors. There was also a double-dutch jump rope contest, judged by Skil-Lit Café Owners Robert Wilborn and Dionna Maldonado.
