    Police chase ends with multi-car crash in Wilkes-Barre

    WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested after Wilkes-Barre police say he led them on a chase that ended in a crash.

    According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, on July 25 around 7:00 p.m., officers tried to pull over a car driven by Fernandito Arroyo, 26, of Wilkes-Barre, in the area of South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and East Northampton Street.

    Undercover sting shuts down motel drug operation

    Police say Arroyo failed to stop and led officers on a chase that ended with Arroyo crashing the car into several unoccupied vehicles.

    After the crash officers stated Arroyo fled on foot before he was arrested. Arroyo faces various charges for the crime.

    The police have so many other ways of stopping a fleeing car (Pit maneuver,road blocks,deflate the tires)These high speed chases are putting innocent people in harms way and need to stop!
