PD: Wanted man arrested after found unresponsive

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man wanted on a warrant in Luzerne County was arrested after being found unresponsive in Wilkes-Barre.

On July 27 around 8:47 p.m., officers were called to South Main Street after someone saw an unresponsive man lying on the ground inside Park and Lock Central.

Police said they found the man identified as Christian Cooper, 29, of Dallas, and they believed he was “under the influence of a controlled substance to a degree that he was a danger to himself.”

According to Wilkes-Barre City Police, Cooper ran from officers through the parking garage but was eventually arrested.

Cooper was found to have an outstanding warrant that was issued by the Luzene County Sheriff’s Office.
