BOONE — One big inning created the separation that Wilkes County needed to defeat Watauga, 14-5, in the loser’s bracket semifinal on Monday evening at Watauga High School. Wilkes County Bulldozer Accident Claims Life Of Man
A man died Wednesday morning in a Wilkes County bulldozer accident at a construction site in Traphill. Reports indicate the victim was struck by a bulldozer and died about a mile off Piney Grove Church Road. Emergency personnel said the mishap occurred at the site of Contentment Club, a new private facility with an 18-hole golf course.
