Von Ebert Brewing has announced its expansion with a new production facility in Portland, Oregon. The brewery will be taking over the former Ecliptic Brewing space on N. Cook Street, allowing for increased production and distribution capabilities. With this move, Von Ebert Brewing aims to increase its annual output from 4,000 barrels to up to 20,000 barrels.

Sam Pecoraro, brewmaster of Von Ebert Brewing, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating that it will enable the brewery to sell more of their award-winning beer. The acquisition of the former Ecliptic Brewing facility also allows Von Ebert to continue the legacy of brewing world-class craft beer in Oregon.

Former owner and brewmaster of Ecliptic Brewing, John Harris, voiced his happiness about finding Von Ebert Brewing to take over the brewery he created. Harris praised Von Ebert's beers and expressed interest in continuing to produce small batch Ecliptic beers on the same equipment.

Von Ebert Brewing plans to reopen the N. Cook Street taproom to the public in the spring. The expansion will also help the brewery navigate the challenges faced by Oregon breweries, including ingredient cost inflation, supply chain disruptions, employee shortages, and the impact of the pandemic. By expanding their canning and off-premise sales, Von Ebert Brewing hopes to weather these challenges and grow its distribution throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and parts of California.

Founded in 2018, Von Ebert Brewing pays tribute to its family matriarch, affectionately known as "Grandma Ebert." The brewery has garnered success with multiple Great American Beer Festival medals, embracing the tenacity and heritage represented by its name. Von Ebert translates to "House of the Boar," symbolizing the brewery's determination and the strength of its German immigrant roots.
