Wisconsin Police Responding to Hostage Situation Strike Body Lying in Roadway
Milwaukee, WI – Wisconsin police officers responding to a hostage situation early Saturday morning struck a body lying in the roadway on W. North Avenue. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:36 a.m. The 57-year-old individual had been previously hit by a black older SUV, which fled the scene before officers arrived. Car-Semi Accident Injures Platteville Woman
A Platteville woman was injured in a car-semi truck accident. The Grant County Sheriff says the accident happened Thursday afternoon shortly after noon on Highway 151 at the intersection with Hill Climb Road near Dickeyville. Authorities say a vehicle driven by 77-year old Elaine Shanley was stopped at the intersection and then pulled out to cross the southbound lanes and was hit by the oncoming semi driven by 59-year old Henry Chamberlain of Fort Atkinson.
