Board of Works denies request for Fourth of July fireworks in city park
The Board of Works and Public Safety denied a request from a group of residents Tuesday morning to set off a large amount of fireworks at Clearwick Park on July 4. Citing the Shelbyville Parks Department’s rule of no fireworks in city parks, a block party request to light consumer fireworks in Clearwick Park, 2600 Berwick Drive, from residents of the Clearview subdivision was not allowed.

Souls Harbor Church cleared the final hurdle to move into a new building. The church, located at 105 N. With less than three weeks to prepare for the National United USA Pageant, Noblesville resident Jessica Hopper never imagined she would take home the title. So, Hopper, 31, was stunned when she was crowned Mrs. United USA 2024 at the event held June 10 to 14 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
