PSPCA launches first Pittie Fest with $5 adoption fees for Pitbulls
Danville, Montour Co. — The PSPCA are gearing up for their first ever Pittie Fest with special adoption fees. Adoption fees for all classic Pitbulls of all sizes and ages will be set at five dollars starting July 16th and ending on August 11th at the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Philadelphia Headquarters, Danville and Lancaster locations.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, the father of the late Basketball Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, has died, his alma mater announced Tuesday. Bryant, who spent eight seasons in the NBA with three different franchises, was 69. The Philadelphia Inquirer, citing La Salle coach Fran Dunphy, reported that Joe Bryant recently had a massive stroke.

State Police in Reading say they were investigating a theft by deception when an Alburtis man in his 70s reported a possible scam on July 1. Troopers say the man reported losing approximately $90,000 in Apple gift cards over the course of a year.
