Hemingway man sets fire to home and barn, flees scene
William Andrew Seay, 37, of Hemingway, has been arrested and charged with Arson 2nd and 3rd Degree by Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office. On June 30, Deputies from the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office, along with the Williamsburg County Fire Department and Williamsburg County Emergency Medical Services responded to a structure fire at a property on South State Highway 41/51 in the Hemingway area of Williamsburg County.
Sheriff’s Office Investigates Shooting at Kingstree residence
Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting at a residence on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway (Highway 377) in Kingstree on June 30. When they arrived, victims told deputies they were inside the residence when they heard a noise at the door. When the victims checked outside, they saw a vehicle sitting in the roadway, and then heard gunshots. The victims retreated to the residence, and then heard multiple gunshots being fired into the residence. No other information is available at this time.
