Residents Near Kirkwood College to Experience Overnight Water Outage
(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Water service for several homes near Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids will be impacted due to an outage starting at around 3 a.m. on Saturday. The City of Cedar Rapids says in a news release the intentional outage is being implemented so crews can address a fire hydrant leak near Kirkwood Boulevard SW and Oklahoma Avenue SW. The city says the outage could last up to eight hours and will impact the neighborhood along 66th Avenue SW. Homes along Oklahoma Avenue SW could see lower water pressure during the outage.

It is a 102,000 sq ft building that was to house 12 full-time employees and 200 seasonal part-time employees during the company's peak season. A satellite distribution center for the Duluth Trading Company based in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. According to the Duluth Trading Company, the people here would "give more capacity to their internet sales distribution along with providing distribution to the company's brick-and-mortar locations". This location was to help with the operations of the primary distribution warehouse in Belleville, Wisconsin.

Eastern Iowa Restaurant Re-Opens Under New Owners
An Eastern Iowa restaurant open since the 1980s is now under new ownership, and is back open with a new menu and a new look!. The Pizza Place in Center Point, Iowa opened in 1982. The restaurant was owned for years by Cindy and Dave Krumm. They were known for their great pizzas, especially the homemade crust recipe. The pizza and the crust recipe remain but The Pizza Place is now owned and run by Allison and Craig Sorensen. After taking over the restaurant, they closed down for a short time to freshen up the interior and the menu too.
