PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's rare whiskey lottery is now open for residents of the Keystone State. State liquor license holders and residents 21 years and older can enter the "Limited-Release Lottery" of more than 1,000 bottles of rare whiskey. Entering the lottery allows participants the chance to buy one of the rare whiskey bottles. The heavy rain and gusty winds were highly localized though and most places didn’t see much activity all weekend. Today will bring one more humid afternoon with the threat of stray showers before the stalled front moves east and more comfortable weather returns. Highs will be in the lower 80s today and it will turn breezy too. Tonight will bring some clearing with gusty winds at times as temperatures tumble behind the front. ALTOONA, Pa. — The deadline for fall 2024 submissions to “Hard Freight,” Penn State Altoona’s online student literary magazine, is Tuesday, Oct. 29, at midnight.
