    75th Williamsburg Community Fair set for July 26- 27

    Williamsburg, WVa. (WVDN) – “Remember When” is the theme for the bigger and better “bring back the memories” Williamsburg Community Fair this year. A few new activities will be enjoyed this year such as a large exhibit display of photos showing fairs of the past 75 years. Bringing back the ole Talent Show, will be enjoyed by all on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Talent from all ages and all types are asked to register by emailing jolong53@gmail.com , or calling 304-667-9288. Fun relay games for all ages will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, so bring your chair to observe the fun and or participate. Saturday afternoon, will also have vendors and demonstrations of blacksmithing, chair caning, butter making and more.

    On Thursday evening, exhibits for food, photos, flowers, painting, quilts, vegetables, eggs, and others are to register from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the community building.     Friday evening, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. enjoy hot dogs, BBQ, brown beans and cornbread, and play bingo (6:00-8:00 p.m.) for just $1 a game. Daubers will be available for purchase of $1 or bring your own. Bring a chair and enjoy the “We’ve Got Talent” talent show in the firehouse starting at 7:30 p.m.

    Start your Saturday at 8:00-9:30 a.m. with breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, eggs and more. Then, visit the Thrift Shop (old school house) open from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for a $1 bag clothing sale. Then, step out their doors and view the parade that begins at 10:30 a.m. (new parade line up and registration is 8:00-9:45 a.m. and judging is at 10:00 a.m.). Following the parade enjoy lunch at the concession stand in the community building, vendors, Health Screenings, cruise over to vintage and hot rod car show at cruise-in, play games (most are free), visit fun stations, play dime pitch, make crafts, jump in the bouncy house, take a shot at the dunk tank, enjoy cotton candy, Dippin Dots, popcorn, or try your hand at our horseshoe tournament, and corn hole tournament.

    Outdoor entertainment under a tent will make for a great afternoon. Bring your chair and relax while listening to the John 3:16 Crossroads from 12:30-1:15 p.m., and Midland Trail Band from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

    At 2:30 p.m., all other activities will stop for the Organized games of earlier year for all ages, followed by the cool down from the traditional fire truck spray.

    In the evening, enjoy bingo again at 4:00-6:00 p.m. followed by a spaghetti dinner from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The dance concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Greener Pastures in the fire house bay. Cap the night off with fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m.
