Carrie Underwood and her family are okay after a scary incident took place at her Tennessee home last night. Late Sunday night, a fire broke out in the garage of the country music star's home. According to WKRN , the Williamson County Fire Rescue dispatched all eight of its stations to the home because of the Underwood residence's remote location. Though it could have initially appeared that the fire was bad enough for all stations to respond, it is now clear that all stations were sent just as a safeguard. Officials told the Nashville news station that once they arrived at the address, they trekked up both a "long road" and a "long driveway" in order to reach the home. When firefighters eventually did reach the property, they described the fire that had engulfed the garage portion of the home as "fully involved." Thankfully, a 10,000 gallon water tank on location expedited the fire extinguishing. First responders were able to quickly knock down the fire that had taken over the garage, thus keeping it from spreading to the main residence. Firefighters reportedly stayed at the scene late into the night and early morning to manage portions of the fire that continued to flare up. A spokesperson for Underwood released this statement after the events unfolded, clearing up any worry since Underwood and her family were at the home when the fire broke out:
"There was a fire on the property on Sunday night, which was quickly contained. There was no fire damage to the primary residence, and the family and their pets were unharmed." Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, and first impressions seem to pinpoint the source to a UTV that was parked next to the garage. All in all, the scary situation could have been much worse, as Underwood, her family and pets, and her home are all safe after the close call. You can view the post about the fire from the Williamson County Fire/Rescue team below: "At 9:42 p.m., Station 21 was dispatched to a fire alarm in their district. Almost immediately the call was upgraded to a structure fire. Crews from all eight of our stations responded. Fairview fire provided a tanker and crew as well. Upon arrival, 1401 found flames coming from the garage.
Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly to prevent spread into the house. Firefighters continue to put out hotspots to prevent further spread. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There are no injuries at this time."
