    UPMC welcomes new doctor to Williamsport emergency department

    Williamsport, Pa. — The emergency medicine team at UPMC Williamsport is pleased to welcome Mak Sarich, M.D., to their department. Dr. Sarich specializes in performing and analyzing emergency ultrasounds to quickly gather vital information.

    “Ultrasound is crucial in emergency medicine for its ability to provide rapid diagnostic imaging at the bedside. It enhances patient care by enabling quick assessment and treatment of a variety of emergency conditions,” said Dr. Sarich. “I look forward to providing these essential services for the communities served by UPMC Williamsport.”

    Dr. Sarich completed his medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, and his residency in emergency medicine with Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. He also completed a fellowship in emergency medicine point-of-care ultrasound with NYU Grossman School of Medicine, New York, N.Y., and most recently worked in the emergency medicine and emergency ultrasound department of New York Presbyterian-Queens, Queens, N.Y.
