Three charged with assault in Lycoming County

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three people have been charged with physically assaulting a 15-year-old boy.

According to court documents, officers were dispatched to UPMC Williamsport ER for an assault victim. Upon arrival, police stated the 15-year-old victim said he was beaten and threatened with a knife by a group of boys.

Police said 19-year-old Connor Gaul, 19-year-old Zachary Trivelpiece, a 16-year-old boy, and a male named Eric are the group the victim identified as the people who assaulted him.

As stated in the criminal complaint, Gaul struck the victim multiple times in the face with a closed fist while others joined in by kicking him in the face.

Gaul showed the victim a knife and said “I’m going to stab you if you don’t open the phone,” as stated in the criminal complaint.

Police added the victim said the group beat him up for an allegation made about Trivelpiece allegedly raping someone.

Three men involved are facing various charges for the assault.
