Man convicted in girlfriend’s stabbing death asks judge to cut prison sentence
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A Greenville man who stabbed his girlfriend more than a dozen times is asking a judge to reconsider his lengthy prison sentence. David Thompson, who was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the 2014 death of his girlfriend, 25-year-old Jennifer Youngblood, has been serving a 35-year sentence. Prosecutors said Thompson stabbed Youngblood 17 times and left her body for her mother to find.

Prisma Health Roger C. Peace Adaptive Sports and Wellness Center is now open in Unity Park. The new $2.3 million facility aims to reduce the inequalities and barriers to fitness for individuals with chronic conditions or disabilities.
