Historic Benjamin Franklin Statue Relocated to Franklin County Judicial Center
In a significant move reflecting local heritage and pride, the historic Benjamin Franklin statue, a cherished symbol of Chambersburg’s resilience and history, has found a new permanent home. On Wednesday, contractors from Lobar Construction successfully relocated the statue from its long-standing position at the Chambersburg Heritage Center & Gift Shop to the Franklin County Judicial Center.

Police have released photos of the man being sought for a fatal shooting inside a convenience store in Chester, Pa.It happened in the Lucky 7 store on the 1100 block of Morton Avenue just before 11:30 a.m. on July 2.Police identified the victim as 27-year-old Dontae Dickerson.He was found on the floor of the store, with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.The suspect has several tattoos on his arm, specifically an A K-style rifle on his left forearm.Anyone with information is urged to call Chester police.

Jon Rusk, general manager at LuLu Country Club in Glenside, won the Philadelphia Open Championship, Amateur Golf reported. The 36-hole tournament was held on July 16 and 17, during which Rusk bested amateur Zak Drescher and professional Andrew Cornish in a four-hole aggregate playoff at Applebrook Golf Club in Malvern after the trio completed 36 regulation holes over two days in 4-under par 136.
