A person was taken into police custody early Friday morning after a car ran into a home on Samoset avenue in Oak Bluffs. The owner of a restaurant charged in a shooting last year near a popular bakery in Boston's North End has pleaded guilty. Patrick Mendoza pleaded guilty in Suffolk Superior Court to charges of assault and battery attempt with a firearm, armed assault to murder, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, illegal possession of ammunition and carrying a firearm without a license.
