This week, U.S. Senator Peter Welch and 13 colleagues urged the Ambassadors of Israel and Egypt to help critically ill Palestinian children leave Gaza for medical treatment and improve access to life-saving care for children in need. The senators emphasized the importance of not hindering injured children from receiving necessary medical care and called for cooperation to ensure safe passage and increased access to treatment. Meetings with the Ambassadors were also requested to further discuss facilitating safe passage for children in need.
