JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We started Monday morning mostly dry except for a storm that moved through our very northern SE Georgia counties. Otherwise, a hot day with the heat index hovering around 100. Afternoon showers and potential thunderstorms will develop west of I-95 after lunchtime and stick around throughout the evening - possible gusty winds and heavy downpours can’t be ruled out as these storms develop along the sea breeze and mixed with the high heat.
