WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — A woman is now spending seven years behind bars for two counts of felony child abuse.

Miesha Hill, of Williston, was handed down that sentence Thursday, for the abuse of a child.

It all came to light after the boy was found to have frostbite on his feet with no hat, gloves, or socks on, after he was forced to walk to school in December of 2021, in wind chills temperatures dipping to -52 degrees.

According to the affidavit, police confronted Hill, who then told police she kicked the boy out of the house because he didn’t clean up after the dogs.

She also stated to the police, “He ate air for dinner,” and did not eat breakfast.

After the boy was placed in foster care, he ended up telling police more about the abuse. He says Hill beat him, whipped him with an extension cord, and sprayed him with cleaning products and bleach often.

Hill originally pleaded not guilty but changed her plea to guilty.

Along with her seven-year prison sentence, she must also register as an Offender Against Children and have no contact with the boy.
